What a month! Since I haven’t worn makeup for weeks I don’t have any cosmetics to include here, instead, I have a hand balm. I’m still wearing perfume though because even just something light lifts my mood. This month is all about feeling nourished and calming.

Let’s have a look at my March favourites.

Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm

Aesop

Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm – I have been using this hand balm for a long time, it’s more an unsung hero at this point but this month it deserves a mention. This is a lotion that sinks in quickly without making your hands greasy and slippery. Your hands feel soften with its blend of natural oils and extracts. It smells herbaceous – Mandarin oil, Rosemary Leaf and Cedarwood. I always like bringing my hands to my nose and take a deep breath in, it just brings me a sense of tranquillity. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have such a beautiful but practical sustainable plastic bottle (with a nice pump!) on display. A little goes a long way with this, 1/3 – 1/2 pump is enough for my hands.

Available: £70/500ml – UK (FeelUnique)*

Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturising Cleanser

Kate Somerville

Goat Milk Moisturizing Cleanser – This is a creamy cleanser that feels a bit frothy. It smells very gourmand, maybe condensed milk with a drop of vanilla? Having milk protein, manuka honey, jojoba and avocado oils in the ingredients are nourishing and conditioning for all skin types especially dry and sensitive skin. I have been using it mainly as a morning cleanse, mostly on mornings when my face feels dry. My skin feels cleansed but soften afterwards.

Available: £32/120ml – UK (CultBeauty)

Jordan Samuel Skin Matinee Gel Cleanser

Jordan Samuel Skin

The Matinee Gel Cleanser – Since I’ve already reviewed this product not long ago (the original post is here), I won’t repeat too much. I really like this gel cleanser, there’s a touch of salicylic acid, just enough to keep any congestions at bay but nothing stripping or drying. I’ve been using this mostly as a second cleanse in the evenings or first cleanse if I haven’t worn makeup or SPF that day. Some days when I feel more congested, I leave this on for about 5mins, kind of treating this as a quick mask allowing the salicylic acid to work a bit longer on the skin.

Available: $28/£25 – 6 fl oz/180ml, UK (CultBeauty) or US (JordanSamuelSkin Website)

Ren Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask

Ren Skincare

Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask – I know I’ve talked about this before (Check out my SOS Edit – Repair Skin Barrier post here) but that’s because I really love it. A creamy mask that works to calm and strengthen sensitive skin, especially when it is also dehydrated and in need of nourishment. Some days I don’t really do a full morning routine but instead, I put this on after cleansing my face and just leave it on for the rest of the day.

Available: £34/50ml – UK (RenSkincare)*

Ralph Lauren - Romance

Ralph Lauren

Romance – Whilst I’m not wearing makeup these days, I am still wearing perfume. I decided now is the time to revisit the long-forgotten ones, this bottle has been in my collection for a long time, I honestly can’t remember how long it’s been there and when I last sprayed it. So, when I pulled this one out a few weeks ago, it’s like reliving the good old times, you know ‘back in the day’. It’s a white floral on the opening with woody, musky oakmoss in the base, it smells cool and clean but at the same time warm and inviting. Both longevity and sillage are fairly moderate.

Available: £76.50/100ml – UK (LookFantastic)*
