Introducing ONE THING skincare products

A slightly different format from my usual blog posts. I wanted to have some that are more like a quick introduction to the brand than a full-on in-depth review. Starting with One Thing…

ONE THING is a K-beauty brand that’s quite popular in the Far East, but it’s still relatively new to the Western market. This brand focuses on keeping skincare simple and use only EWG grade 1 raw materials, particularly they like showcasing one key ingredient at a time.

Products I’ve tried:

They do several plant extracts and for me, they are their hero products because if you are k-beauty fan, you’d have already come across these ingredients and know they work wonders.

ONE THING 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘁𝘂𝘆𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁

𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘁𝘂𝘆𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁

Anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant properties to repair, and rebuild sensitive skin, nourish and calm troubled skin. This has a calming medicinal herbal scent. I use it as a toner, sometimes with a cotton pad, other times I pour into my palms and pat it on. It’s one of those formulas that you can use however you see fit. It feels very comfortable and hydrating.

ONE THING 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁

𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁

A popular skin-soothing ingredient that’s rich in amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids and phytochemicals with benefits such as speed wound healing, soothe and rejuvenate the skin, improve skin elasticity as well as calm skin irritation & redness while strengthening the skin barrier. I’m a big fan of Centella already, and this watery extract makes it easy to incorporate into a routine, either pat a few drops directly onto the skin after toning or add to my moisturiser. I particularly enjoy applying this right before retinol just to prep my skin and reduce any potential sensitivity.

ONE THING 𝗝𝗼𝗷𝗼𝗯𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗢𝗶𝗹

𝗝𝗼𝗷𝗼𝗯𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗢𝗶𝗹

Organic Jojoba Oil is rich in Vitamin E, highly emollient but fast-absorbing, feels very light on the skin. It closely resembles the natural sebum within our skin, does not clog the pores and provides excellent non-occlusive, non-greasy moisture control, good for all skin types. You can apply 2-3 drops directly to your face or mix them into a moisturiser.

ONE THING 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺

𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺

Formulated with 0% purified water, instead, it uses key ingredients such as green tea water, birch sap, sunflower seed oil, bergamot oil and skin-friendly natural moisturising factor. The cream has a lightweight texture, it’s very comparable to Belif moisturising cream and DE Protini. It’s one of those good ‘basic’ creams that go well in high actives and retinol routines. It’s fragrance-free and it’s suitable for all skin types including sensitive.

ONE THING 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗽 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗽 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

It’s a very moisturising and nourishing lip treatment enriched with jojoba, argan and olive oils. This comes in a little handy squeeze tube. I think this can work well as a nail treatment too.

Final thoughts

Initially, at a glance, this line reminded me of a few other single ingredient focussed brands but upon looking closer, their offering is quite unique as their focussed ingredients are largely centred around plants that are found in the Far East. Their extracts are great additions to any routines and I genuinely enjoy using them. I’d love to explore more from the brand.

Have you tried this before? What is your experience?
